Clarks Roll Out In-Store Scanning App

Clarks have implemented an in-store scanning app, improving in-store response times and assistant productivity. The app is developed by Scandit and allows shop assistants to use the in-store tablets to scan product barcodes. Once the barcode is scanned, the app then retrieves and shows information about the product, including stock levels, product information, and price.

Clarks have rolled out the Scandit-powered app in over 500 stores, where feedback has been “extremely positive”. This successful implementation is another example of how traditional brick-and-mortar stores can enhance the customer experience by using new technology.
